What I have compiled here are collections of research I have done plus research I collected from others. It is by no means complete, but in hopes to improve upon my collection, I have chosen to publish what I have to date here in this web site. It has not all been verified by myself; however I feel it is important to share what I have so far. Again, I am open to corrections and additions.
Through studying my family history, I have come to appreciate my heritage deeply. I truly treasure the freedoms of our wonderful country that my ancestors helped mold. The following verse captures that sentiment.
Sincerely,
| We keep forgetting all of those who lived before us. |
| We keep forgetting those who lived, and worked, and prayed, and sang, and built long before we were born. |
| We commit the sin of assuming that everything begins with us. |
| We drink from the wells that we did not find. |
| We eat food from farmlands we did not develop. |
| We worship in churches we did not organize or build. |
| We enjoy freedoms we have not earned. |
| We should be grateful for our heritage, and turn our minds in grateful
appreciation to those who lived in another day, and under vastly
different circumstances, so that we can live a better life today. |

Old time is still a-flying
And this same flower that smiles today
tomorrow will be dying.
