    What I have compiled here are collections of research I have done plus research I collected from others. It is by no means complete, but in hopes to improve upon my collection, I have chosen to publish what I have to date here in this web site. It has not all been verified by myself; however I feel it is important to share what I have so far.  Again, I am open to corrections and additions.

    Through studying my family history, I have come to appreciate my heritage deeply. I truly treasure the freedoms of our wonderful country that my ancestors helped mold. The following verse captures that sentiment.

Our Heritage

We keep forgetting all of those who lived before us.
We keep forgetting those who lived, and worked, and prayed, and sang, and built long before we were born.
We commit the sin of assuming that everything begins with us.
We drink from the wells that we did not find.
We eat food from farmlands we did not develop.
We worship in churches we did not organize or build.
We enjoy freedoms we have not earned.
We should be grateful for our heritage, and turn our minds in grateful appreciation to those who lived in another day, and under vastly different circumstances, so that we can live a better life today.
